What are the different styles of artificial Christmas tree foliage?
Most of our trees feature either traditional tips or a combination of traditional tips with Nature's Best™ tips. This information is listed on each product page.
We divide our foliage into two categories:
- Nature's Best™ foliage: Our Nature's best foliage® is used to make artificial Christmas trees that are as close to nature as you can possibly get! This technology uses injection-molded polyethylene to mimic a real evergreen needle's color, structure, and texture. Most of our realistic trees are made with a combination of Nature's best foliage and traditional tips, used for added volume and shape. The traditional tips are positioned at the back of each branch as a perfect underskirt forming an attractive full silhouette. Nature's Best is our most realistic needle style with a 3D dimension, unlike classic PVC tips. If you're looking for a pre-lit tree with Nature's Best foliage, our PF Classic is a best-seller.
- Traditional foliage: Our Traditional foliage is created from PVC and provides a traditional artificial Christmas tree aesthetic with soft, flat, and flexible needles. Our long-spindled pine needles and long-bristled needles also fall under this category.
What size artificial Christmas tree should I buy?
A good rule of thumb is to make sure to leave a minimum of 5 inches between the top of your tree and the ceiling of the room you would like to place your tree. We measure our trees from the base of the stand to the top of the tree.

Are Portland Fir artificial Christmas trees easy to assemble?
All our artificial Christmas trees are designed for easy assembly, with hinged branches that fan in and out for easy setup and storage.
When you unbox your new Portland Fir tree, you will first notice all the tree sections have been compressed for shipping purposes. Fluffing is a crucial step in putting up your tree to ensure your tree looks as full and fluffy as possible.

How do I store my artificial Christmas tree?
We understand an artificial Christmas tree is a long-term investment and must stand tall season after season.
To retain the beauty of your Portland Fir™ tree and prevent any damage during storage, make sure that all the tree sections are adequately stored and kept out of the way in a cool, dry place.
