What Delivery Options are available?

Portland Fir only sells and delivers within the United Kingdom. We offer FREE shipping for all the United Kingdom. The transit time will depend on the distance between the Portland Fir Warehouse and the delivery destination.

Under normal circumstances, for mainland United Kingdom, the transport time is expected to be between 3 and 7 working days.

For Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Scottish Islands, the expected transit time is between 5 and 7 working days.  

Covid-19 Notice

Due to covid-19 and the unprecedented demand for online shopping during this period, our delivery partners are currently processing a high volume of packages. Some deliveries may experience delays. We expect transit time to take 5 – 10 working or longer. However, we recommend monitoring your tracking number for delivery updates.

Rest assured, we are working to get your Portland Fir tree to you as soon as possible.

When will my order be shipped?

All orders received between Monday and Friday will be processed and leave the Portland Fir warehouse within 24 hours.

Orders received between on weekends (Friday – Sunday) will be processed and leave our warehouse the next business day. Total transit time from our warehouse may take from 2-7 days depending on your delivery address. Please note, in certain circumstances, the above timeline may change. This would be beyond our control.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

On average, our products will arrive between 1-7 business days which is dependent on your delivery address. We aim to dispatch your order as quickly as possible. To receive your Portland Fir tree by Christmas Eve, please make sure to order before the 20th of December.

Based on your location, you should confirm your order by the dates shown below to receive your tree with free delivery by the 24th December:

  • Mainland United Kingdom: order by 20th December
  • Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Channel Islands: order by 17 December

Please note, orders made after 11:00am GMT on the 21st of December will only be processed and subsequently delivered from 27 December onwards due to warehouse closure. Orders made around 30-31 December may also experience slight delays due to warehouse closure on New Year’s Day.

Should I expect to pay any Delivery Charges?

No, Portland Fir provides Free Delivery on all products.

Can I delay my shipment to a certain date?

We do not offer a delayed delivery option at this time.

Delivery to PO Boxes

We currently are unable to ship to PO boxes. Please supply a physical mailing address when filling out your delivery information.

My package was lost or damaged during shipment. What can I do?

Damaged Package Please contact us within 7 days of receipt of a damaged package with a complete description of the damage. We will send our courier provider to collect the damaged packages for inspection. As long as the damaged item is still in stock, we will send a replacement item.

Lost/missing Order

Kindly contact us if you have not received your package past your expected delivery date. If you never received your order but your tracking number states your order is complete please contact our customer support to assist.

Part of my order is missing.

In this instance, we recommend that you first use your tracking number to check the shipping company is yet to deliver the item. If the status of the order is marked ‘Delivered’, please contact our customer support to assist you in locating the missing item/s.

My product is missing parts.

In this instance, we recommend that you check with the shipper to confirm that all your items were delivered. If your packages each show a status of ‘delivered’, please contact our Customer Support to assist you.

I received the wrong product.

If you believe we have made a mistake a sent you the wrong product, please contact Customer Support within 72 hours of receiving the product and we will assist you.


When choosing the perfect size artificial Christmas tree for your home, there are several things to consider:

1. Our trees are measured in feet (ft)
2. The measurement of the tree is from the base of the tree to the top of the tree.
3. The tree stand is included in the overall height of the tree.
4. The tree girth measurement is the widest part at the bottom of the tree.
5. Make sure to leave a minimum of five inches between the ceiling and the tree’s highest point.

Storing Your Christmas Tree

To ensure the beauty of your artificial Christmas trees is maintained, it’s imperative to store your tree correctly. To prevent any damage, make sure you store your tree in a cool, dry place. We recommend using the original box to keep your tree in excellent condition for years to come. 


Note: Any damage caused by improper storage conditions, such as excessive heat or humidity, is not covered by the warranty of your tree.


  • Carefully remove all the lights and Christmas decorations from your tree. Ensure to unplug the lights.
  • Consider moving the storage box and tree sections to your final storage location. 

Caution: This step is to minimize heavy lifting. Heavy lifting can cause muscle strain and back injury. Should you need to move your tree box, be sure to use proper lifting techniques when moving. 

  • Flatten each tree section so that it will fit more readily into your storage box.
  • Be sure to store your tree in a cool, dry location to prevent it from acquiring a musty odor while in storage.

Insider’s Tip: As an extra precaution to eliminate the chances of your tree acquiring a musty odor, store the tree with a container of baking soda. The baking soda will absorb excess moisture and odors and leave your tree smelling much fresher.
